MIDI Audio Format MIDI Converter
MIDI is a file format for creating, sharing and playing digital music. The name MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface, and the standard was launched in 1983. MIDI files don’t contain an actual audio recording, but instead contain data about how the sound should be produced by a compatible playback device or software program, including the notation, pitch, speed, volume and tempo of each instrument. The format’s smaller file sizes make it ideal for sharing music online.
MIDI is predominantly designed for musicians and producers to create or edit music or audio tracks, and so MIDI files can't be played by all media players. However, you should be able to play MIDI tracks with most music recording and editing applications, such as GarageBand and Audio Evolution Mobile, as well as with VLC Media Player. You can also use these applications to export MIDI files into other formats like MP3 or WAV.

WAV Audio Format WAV Converter
The WAV audio file format was developed by IBM and Microsoft in 1991. WAV stands for Waveform Audio File Format, and it is still a commonly used file type. You can open WAV files with almost all media players and devices because it’s such an established format.
Unlike many other popular audio formats like MP3 or AAC, WAV files are uncompressed and ‘lossless’. This means WAV files have higher sound quality, which is why many musicians prefer to record and play music in WAV format. However, because the files aren’t compressed, the downside is that WAV files can be much bigger than other audio formats – up to 10 times the file size of an MP3.
