Why increase your WAV volume?
WAV files are the format of choice for professional audio work because they store sound without any compression, preserving every detail of the original recording. Studios, sound engineers, and voiceover artists all rely on WAV for this reason. But that studio-quality clarity counts for very little if the recording level is too low. A vocal take captured with conservative gain settings, a field recording made at a distance, or a sample pulled from an older archive can all end up much quieter than you need.
