Why view a DOC?
A DOC file (Microsoft Word's older document format) lands in your inbox, and you go to open it, only to find you don't have Word installed. Maybe you're on a work laptop that only has a different word processor, or you're using a shared computer at a library. Whatever the reason, you're stuck looking at a file you can't actually read.
