GLB 3D Format GLB Converter
GL Transmission Format Binary (GLB) is a compact 3D file format developed by the Khronos Group, the same organisation behind OpenGL and WebGL. It’s the binary version of the GLTF (GL Transmission Format) file, designed to be a universal standard for efficient 3D model transmission and rendering. GLB files can store full 3D scenes—including geometry, textures, materials, animations, and even scene hierarchy—in a single, portable package.
Unlike other formats that require external texture or material files, GLB bundles everything together, making it lightweight and easy to share without losing linked assets. Because it is highly optimized for web and mobile, GLB has become a popular choice for online 3D viewing, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) applications.

USDZ 3D Format
The Universal Scene Description Zipped (USDZ) file format is the packaged, ready-to-view version of the USD file format. USD files were developed by Pixar for creating and producing complex, movie-quality scenes in film, animation, and visual effects workflows. The USDZ file format, on the other hand, resulted from a partnership between Pixar and Apple, and is primarily for sharing these scenes for viewing on iOS devices. USDZ files can also be used for the exchange of 3D models between creative and technical teams.
USDZ is one of the go-to formats for AR (augmented reality) experiences, bundling all the 3D assets into a file that’s easy to render. These files can be viewed on Apple devices without needing additional software (from iOS 12 onward), but are read-only. For editing, you’d need to unzip the file and work with the original USD parts it contains.
