3MF 3D Format 3MF Converter
The 3D Manufacturing Format (3MF) is an XML-based file that stores information useful for 3D printing. It was developed and established by the 3MF Consortium with the goal of efficiently storing 3D printing data to be used across many different pieces of software. As 3D printing has become more effective and prevalent, a more standardised file type was necessary. Although the STL file format is more widely used among legacy and hobbyist users, 3MF is quickly becoming the industry choice for modern use cases.
If you just want to view the file, Windows has a built-in app called Windows 3D Builder that will do the trick. If you want to edit a file before you print it, 3MF can be used with software such as Microsoft 3D Builder, Autodesk Fusion 360, and SOLIDWORKS.

The Digital Asset Exchange (DAE) format, also known as a COLLADA file, is an XML-based format used to exchange 3D models and other digital assets between different types of programs without losing detail. Various aspects of 3D data, like geometry, textures, animations and other scene elements, can be contained in the file.
