Description | BlackBerry is a range of mobile devices created by Research In Motion. Primarily popular with businesses, the devices were initially launched in 1999 and functionality focused on the needs of a business, with email functionality the key selling point. With the advent of smartphones, specifically the iPhone, RIM attempted to improve functionality offering playback of multimedia through models including the Torch, Curve and Bold. The company has enjoyed limited success and struggled to regain any further market share from Samsung and Apple. |
