RB eBook Format RB Converter
An RB file has a full name of RocketEditon e-Book file and was developed by NuvoMedia. An RB file was developed by NuvoMedia to allow users to read e-Books on NuvoMedia’s Rocket e-Book device which was developed in 1998. This e-Book device was quite different to e-Book readers that we are used to today. For a start, the device could only hold eight books at any one time as storage was at such a premium. The file itself is a container file format that holds a simple HTML file with information pertaining to the book and an info file that provides the required metadata. RB files were used by other applications in the late 1990s but are no longer developed or supported and have therefore greatly waned in popularity.

TCR eBook Format TCR Converter
A TCR file has a full name of Psion Series 3 e-Book file and was developed by Psion Teklogix and was developed in the 1990s. The file itself was developed with storage in mind as it provides 50% greater compression than rival formats of the time. It was designed originally for the Psion Series 3 Palmtop devices and them only but the format was also utilised by other e-Book readers which supported TCR files. The TCR file is now no longer supported and no further development of the file has occurred therefore its popularity has plummeted over the years. Users are still able to open a TCR file and can do this by using programs such as Calibre or Sumatra PDF.
