MEF Image Format MEF Converter
The MEF format is also sometimes known as a Mamiya Raw Image File. Mamiya is a Japanese photography company and MEF files are images taken using one of their digital cameras. Raw images are the original picture captured by a digital camera sensor. The images haven’t been processed and are high definition, which means the file sizes can be very big.
The high quality of raw files means they are often used for printing photos from special occasions like weddings or holidays. Raw files are also better for editing in programs like Adobe PhotoShop, Corel PaintShop Pro or Canvas. As well as photo-editing programs, you can also open MEF files in Windows Photos or Apple Photos. Rather than sharing raw image files directly, people usually convert them into a more compressed format like JPG first.
