3FR Image Format 3FR Converter
3FR is a format for digital images, specifically photographs taken with a Hasselblad digital camera. Hasselblad is a Swedish company which has been distributing and making cameras for 150 years. Some of the most famous photographs in the world, including the 1969 moon landing, were captured on a Hasselblad camera. The full name for the 3FR file type is Hasselblad 3F Raw Image. Like other raw digital photography files, the image has not been processed and has only very slight or no compression. This makes 3FR files very large in comparison to JPG, PNG or GIF files.
Hasselblad cameras are not as widely used as other brands like Nikon, Sony or Canon, or smartphone cameras. However, there are many programs that will open 3FR files. These include Microsoft Photos, Apple Photos and Preview, Adobe Photoshop and Corel PaintShop Pro. Hasselblad also has its own free 3FR processing software called Phocus.

AI files are vector image files, with paths connected by different points making up a whole design, rather than using a grid of pixels. This retains the details in the image when it’s zoomed in or out. Adobe Illustrator is very popular among both professional and amateur artists and graphic designers.
Adobe Illustrator is available as a monthly or annual subscription, either on its own or as part of the Creative Cloud suite with other programs like Photoshop and the Premiere Pro video editor. AI files can’t be opened by all image viewers or editors, especially programs that are just designed for viewing 2D raster images like JPGs or PNGs. However, you can open AI files with CorelDRAW, Inkscape or Adobe Photoshop. You can also use Illustrator or these other programs to export an AI file as a different file format for sharing or printing.
